Corporate Social Responsibility

Our global platform means more than just being an onshore and offshore BPO. It is also an opportunity to enrich the communities where we live and work. We do this by building sustainable corporate-community partnerships that draw on the expertise and capacities of our employees and lines of business around the globe.

SPi Foundation

Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs are run under the SPi Technologies Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit organization established in 2004. The Foundation's strategic framework is anchored on the company's vision, mission and values. It also highlights SPi Global’s role in the community where we operate.

Programs

Our CSR programs are aligned with our key business verticals and leverages on our expertise and available resources. The key differentiating factor on how we execute our CSR programs is the strong employee support from our people across the globe.

In the US:
The SPi Foundation partnered with The Susan G. Komen (SGK) Foundation for the Cure, the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all, and energize science to find the cures.

In the Philippines:
We focus our efforts in helping deprived students complete their education, increase their employment skills and secure a job after graduation. The Foundation supports Job Search Seminars, the SPi College Scholarship Program, and the Computer Training Program conducted in SPi's Computer Learning Centers in various locations in the Philippines.

SPi Global also supports Gawad Kalinga (meaning, "to give care"). SPi Global and Springer Science + Business Media have an ongoing partnership with Gawad Kalinga. Together, we have built  50 houses and a three-storey learning center in the SPi-Springer Sunshine Village.

Gawad Kalinga has seen remarkable success in transforming Filipino slums through the "sweat equity" of its many volunteers. SPi Global clients and employee volunteers work with the slum dwellers to rehabilitate this poverty-stricken area within the SPi Global vicinity.
