CHALLENGE: Increase productivity and reduce costs
The public tends to take this for granted: that personal cards, checks, business documents, etc., slipped into the mail will be delivered to their intended recipients in a timely manner. That’s our expectation. It is this company’s job to make sure that expectation is met. The Dutch firm was growing, just as quickly as the volume of documents and goods to be delivered. When the client’s automatic recognition system cannot read an address, data must be generated for the mail items that require additional sorting. This time-consuming process involves the keying in of information from images utilizing an in-house application. The firm was looking for a partner who could meet established turnaround times, meet cyclical volume increases, and increase efficiency by cutting costs.
