Maulik joined SPi Global in late 2009 after a flourishing career in the BPO industry. Since he joined, he has successfully integrated SPi Global’s three business units under one umbrella, assembled a best-in-class leadership team, expanded the company’s geographic footprint to China, Nicaragua and North America, and elevated SPi Global to being one of the most respected brands globally. Under his leadership, the team has delivered industry-leading double-digit growth for six consecutive years. In 2013, Maulik led the company through a successful management buyout with the support of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, positioning the company for further growth.   

With Maulik at the helm, the company continues to be the most-awarded BPO company in Asia, receiving nearly 90 prestigious industry awards in the last half decade alone. Recent awards include “Best Company to Work for in Asia” from the 2015 Asia Corporate Excellence Sustainability Awards, “2015 BPO Company of the Year” from the London-based Business Worldwide Corporate Excellence Awards, as well as the “Employer of the Year 2014,” and “BPO Company of the Year 2011” recognitions from the International ICT Awards. Maulik was the first recipient of the “Best CEO of the Year” at the 2015 International ICT Awards.

Previously, Maulik was Executive Vice President of Asia Operations for TeleTech Holdings, where his strategy expanded the company's Asian presence from 6,000 to over 22,000 employees across 14 sites in three years.

Maulik has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Gujarat University, India, and an International MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA.

Maria Cecilia Ampeloquio directs and oversees our human resources programs across the Philippines, United States, India, Vietnam, China and Nicaragua. Her role encompasses strategic organization planning and design, talent acquisition, employee retention and engagement, leadership development, performance management, and overall HR delivery.

Marie has 28 years’ experience in the BPO industry. Previously, as Vice President for Human Resources at a multinational BPO, she established HR best practices as Common Minimum Practice, resulting in robust service delivery. She also introduced a Coaching and Counseling model that was accorded a global best practice award.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Scholastica’s College in Manila and attended multiple leadership programs facilitated by Duke University.

Kumar Subramaniam

Chief Finance Officer

Kumar Subramaniam’s core responsibilities include financial strategy, operational finance, treasury, taxation, and financial reporting – driving financial performance, devising financial strategy, and providing business with financial insights.

Kumar has over 18 years’ working experience, the last nine of which have been in BPO. He’s an Associate Chartered Accountant, recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards from the UK-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He is a member of Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), which is devoted to the development and improvement of financial management in business organizations.

Kumar has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mumbai University.

Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel

Ryan Laureano’s responsibilities cover legal affairs, facilities administration, travel desk, and global procurement. He has overseen the management of our offices as well as the build out of new facilities and expansion of existing sites. He has also led strategic initiatives to create a more efficient and cost-effective procurement service for the organization.

Ryan, who also serves as our Corporate Governance Officer, has over 13 years’ legal experience that is highly relevant to the BPO business, including serving as Country Counsel for companies engaged in offshoring and outsourcing. Ryan has a Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo de Manila University, and a Management degree from De La Salle University Manila.

Celeste Ilagan

Senior Vice President, Marketing and External Affairs

Celeste Ilagan has played an instrumental role in bringing the SPi Global brand to the forefront. In the last five years, she has led strategic marketing programs to establish and showcase the brand at marquee client events, generating leads and opportunities for our business units. She is also responsible for building a proactive image for SPi Global in the industry and government sectors.

Celeste has over 25 years’ experience in resource management, strategic and operational planning, project development and implementation, marketing, networking, and government relations. She spent 20 years working for the Board of Investments, where she served as Executive Director of the Investments Promotion Group.

In 2009, Celeste was recognized as Individual Contributor of the Year by the ICT International Awards, for her tireless efforts in promoting the Philippine BPO industry. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

Mark Mistal

Head, Information Technology

Mark Mistal is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of SPi Global’s technology infrastructure – notably, conceptualizing, implementing and managing 19 enterprise data centers and co-located data centers worldwide.

Mark has over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, information technology and IT security, product support, and project management. He held various management positions in the United States Army and a semiconductor company in the United States.  Prior to joining SPi Global, Mark was the Deputy Chief, Partner Operations for the US Department of Defense’s Cyber Command in Fort Meade, Maryland, and served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Army Reserve Information Operations Command in Maryland, USA. 

Mark is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point New York, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and CIO certificate from the National Defense University in Washington DC.

Ratnadeep "Ratan" Datta is responsible for the overall performance and global operations of our Content Solutions business unit. He spearheads the transformation of our Content business with one of the most innovative and complete combination of service offerings in the industry, leading a global team of nearly 12,000 content specialists across many geographies. 

Ratan has 23 years’ experience in IT and ITeS, the last 13 of which have been in Content Solutions and Publishing. Previously, he was IT Manager for the French Institute of Pondicherry, and Software Consultant for Blue Ripple, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He’s an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education.

Mike O’Brien has spent the last couple of years providing management and guidance in our global operations, overseeing the implementation of a hybrid model in online marketing payment between domestic and offshore production in the US and India.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the publishing industry, with extensive exposure in managing the Sales and Marketing departments for the educational publishing sales of Laserwords, which was acquired by SPi Global in 2011.

Prior to joining us, Mike was Vice President of Sales for Aptara, as well as for Interactive Composition Corporation. He’s an active member of publishing organizations Bookbuilders West and Chicago Book Clinic, where he served as President and Program Director, respectively. He has a Business degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Nicolai Serafico Agcaoili currently leads over 5,400 personnel in operation sites in the United States, Nicaragua, and the Philippines. In this capacity – as well as when he led operations for our Content Solutions business unit – he has empowered and transformed service delivery teams, many of which have received client accolades and industry awards for product quality and customer service.

Nicki has 16 years’ experience building up and heading BPO business units, and has held a number of executive positions in multinational BPO firms and client firms, including companies such as DISH Network, Teletech, Convergys, and Sykes. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in Creative Writing in Filipino from the University of the Philippines.

Rommel Regino

Senior Vice President – Customer Experience Solutions (Asia-Pacific)

Rommel Regino manages over 4,900 employees dedicated to our Asia-Pacific operations. He leads strategic initiatives that involve process improvement, people development, client relationships, business delivery, and project implementation. He is a champion of quality methodologies such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, QS9000, Six Sigma, TQM, and COPC.

He has 12 years’ experience in BPO and in manufacturing. Previously, he was Head of Voice for the Hubs, ANZ Global Services, as well as President and CEO of WNS GS Philippines. As Senior Director for Operations at Sykes Asia, Inc., he was instrumental in growing the business from just 400 to over 9,000 people.

Rommel has a Bachelor's degree in Science in Industrial Management Engineering, minor in Chemical Engineering, from De La Salle University.
