SPi Global's relationship with the MIT Press began in 2000 with the first issue of the "Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience." The journal editor and MIT Press were seeking to substantially reduce the production schedule and facilitate publishing in full text, on an article-by-article basis, on the Stanford University HighWire Press site.
The Rockefeller University Press
The Rockefeller University Press (RUP) decided to expand its online journal archive in 2002 and chose SPi Global to supply web-ready content for back issues of several RUP journals – including The Journal of Cell Biology, The Journal of Experimental Medicine, and The Journal of General Physiology. These journals would be made available to subscribers who have access via HighWire Press. RUP approached this project in two phases.
University of Chicago Press
SPi Global was recently chosen by the University of Chicago Press' Journals Division to provide composition and other content production services for The Astrophysical Journal, The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, and The Astronomical Journal. These journals are the foremost journals in astronomy and astrophysics.
Fortune 500 Agro-Chemical Company
A Fortune 500 agro-chemical company wanted to boost its competitive advantage by improving the marketing and sales performance of its Asian operations. To achieve this, they needed to accelerate the decision-making process by having access to real-time, reliable, and accurate data about target markets. Upon analyzing the client's marketing- and sales-related processes and strategies, SPi Global designed and implemented an application that analyzes farming data (agricultural location, type of soil, weather condition, irrigation, etc.) and historical buying habits in the region.
Leading Information Aggregator
A leading information aggregator outsourced its data conversion engineering process to SPi Global, with the goal of improving operating efficiencies through cost savings and optimal deployment of resources. SPi Global assumed responsibility for configuring and maintaining the offshore-based hardware, software, and telecommunications infrastructure required for the client's conversion engineering system.
