SPi Global bolsters partnership with TNT
Laguna, Philippines—25 March 2011. In its goal to continue establishing partnerships with organizations and companies worldwide, SPi Global, the largest Filipino-owned business process outsourcing company, has strengthened its ties with Europe's largest postal and logistical operations company, TNT.
Established in 2010, SPi Global's partnership with TNT Post gave birth to a new company, called TNT Shore. TNT Shore is a new company that uses advanced technology to process data quickly and cost-effectively while maintaining a high-level of quality. It also strives to become the European market leader in large-scale data processing for logistics-based enterprises like publishers and postal companies.
SPi Global's facility in Laguna provides TNT Shore with a strong competitive advantage that boosts the European company's processing efficiency. By tapping the services offered by TNT Shore, companies can reduce their logistics and administration costs by having their documents of almost any nature digitized to the right degree. It will also enable them to respond immediately to customer inquiries for the delivery of products and services.
The TNT project boasts for its fast and efficient processes involving a five-second data entry with 99% accuracy; video coding and XML conversion, which is an off-line capture of business reply cards.

One of the clients catered by TNT Shore is TNT Post, which requires them to decipher addresses on letters and cards that are difficult for automatic sorters to read. TNT Shore also digitally processed the meter readings sent in by customers of a power company on reply cards.

The project started with 400 personnel servicing the TNT operations in Laguna. During peak months such as December, 1,700 full-time equivalents (FTEs) are required to support the huge volume handled during the holiday season.
SPi Global Laguna has been in operations since 2001. At present, the facility houses a total of 900 employees. It supports new and existing client programs for SPi Global's Content Solutions business unit, offering services, like SGML/XML conversion; eBook production; eContent production; transaction processing; data analysis; scanning and image processing; video coding; and archiving.
