SPi Global Wins the 2010 International ICT Award for Non-Voice Excellence of the Year
Award recognizes SPi Global for its competency and diversity of services
Manila, Philippines, March 29, 2010. SPi Global, a leading global provider of value-driven, customized knowledge process and customer relationship management outsourcing solutions announced today that it has received the "Non-Voice Excellence of the Year Award" in the recently concluded International ICT Awards. This is the second year in a row that SPi Global was recognized by the International ICT Awards. Last year, the company was awarded the "Multi-Sourcing BPO of the Year".
Organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPA/P), the International ICT Awards recognize the outstanding performance and contribution of organizations and individuals within the information and communications technology community who are located in the Philippines and Asia Pacific region. More than 500 professionals in the local BPO sector attended the event dubbed as the "Oscars of the Philippine BPO".
While the International ICT Awards program has been in place for several years now, the Non-Voice Excellence of the Year Award is a new category this year. Nominated organizations under this category were judged based on a number of stringent criteria including presence of different business lines, proven competencies manifested by innovation, performance metrics, most number of domains serviced and client satisfaction surveys and feedback.
Accepting on behalf of SPi Global, Maulik Parekh, President and CEO, dedicated the recognition to the growing 14,000 employees of SPi Global spread across 24 delivery centers in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In late 2009, SPi Global was awarded the "Philippines Vendor of Choice" in a study called "Emerging Market Suppliers: A Valuable Lever for Risk Diversification" conducted by the Everest Group. The study focused on six emerging markets and the report provides an assessment of the distinctive capabilities and situations where the service providers offer a strong value proposition for buyers. SPi Global was highlighted due to its operating scale, domestic/regional expertise, delivery maturity, a Blue Chip client base, and a global footprint.
SPi Global's Publishing Unit, was also ranked Number 1 in the Publishing Outsourcing in the Black Book of Outsourcing 2009 Survey, a widely recognized survey produced by the Brown-Wilson Group and the Black Book Research. Survey responses were derived from more than 600 senior publishing industry professionals and SPi ranked Number in various key performance indicators including Innovation, Client Relationships, Technology, Customer Care, Data Security, and Breadth of Offerings.

The International ICT Awards - Philippines event provides a medium to promote the work and achievements of companies, individuals and the overall industry to the Philippine and international business community. The judging committee consists of a diverse group of independent individuals with extensive experience in the industry. The task of selecting finalists and winners out of a large group of qualified nominees is extremely difficult and individual opinions will differ. Selection is based on the set of criteria for each category on the nomination forms, information received with input and opinions from the judging committee.
